The Lobotomist

I believe that Walter Freeman is a mad man, but at the same time he was a good doctor. Freeman Spent alot of time studying the brain in the basement of st. elizabeths hospital. He was always curious on finding ways in psycological arouses with his patients. Freeman was always experimenting with different things. then when he was studying on this one women he had finsihed the first lobotomy in the U.S. Freeman had Believed that the thalamus was the center of all the human behavior. Some of Freemans Strategies were considered unethical but they seemed to work. Lobotomy was considered at good treatment for behavorial issues. . They called him the henry ford of Lobotomy. Freeman wanted to turn his treatment into an assembly line to make it easier and cheaper to perform Lobotomy. In doing this he used and "icepick" and hammerd it in behind the eye and swabed the frontal lobe in the brain.. some people did not agree with the way the way that he was hammering the "icepick" into the patients skull. Freeman had been done with Lobotomy after his last patient had died from brain hemerage.
The Lobotomist was about this guy named Walter Freeman and he performed Lobotomy on patients and was considered the Henry Ford of Lobotomy. Walter Freeman did alot of things for Lobotomy and did alot of good things but he also did alot of bad things for Lobotomy.
